Hello, I’m Paul Cleal. I am an advisor and non-executive board member in a diverse range of organisations developing and implementing strategy and leading change (you can learn more about my portfolio on the Current Work page). I am also a mentor to a number of talented young individuals.

I bring a wealth of experience gained from 30 years working in both private and public sectors. For sixteen years I was a partner in PwC, the world’s largest professional services firm, during which I held a range of leadership positions including main boards of UK and Africa practices. I have grown successful businesses within PwC, helped numerous clients achieve their goals through my work in corporate finance and consulting and led the Human Resources function through a period of substantial change.

Recently I was made an OBE in the 2020 New Year honours list for my work in promoting diversity and inclusion. I also have an MBA from London Business School. From time to time I write on leadership and other issues in my Blog. You can also see some recent highlights. The diversity of these roles reflects my passions and interests which include:

  • education, diversity and social mobility,
  • Africa and its diaspora here in the UK,
  • sport and
  • entrepreneurship.

For more details about me see my profile on linked in or watch the appreciation video that my team did for me before I left PwC London to move to Africa back in 2015.

Do get in touch if you have comments on anything I’ve published or if you would just like to discuss.
